| Max & Maki Menyere are two brothers who have been in the business of making handbags for over a decade. We met them on our visit to Zimbabwe and brought them onboard to make Tashanda's handmade African bags known as the Afrobag range. See more on the Menyere brothers on Tashanda's Blogspot. Each bag is unique and cannot be duplicated. This is because the Afrobag is made using combination of hand designed sadza batik on barkweave cotton, and 100% recycled African leather off-cuts. Ten percent of the proceeds from the sale of an Afrobag will be donated to the Hatcliffe Nursery Schools, starting with the one we visited in November 2007, and the Mathew Rusike Children’s Home. See Tashanda Blogspot for more information. Additional donations to these projects are welcome. |
