Delivery Times
Typically, orders will arrive to the destination address in 2-3 weeks. The amount of time that it takes for your
order to reach its destination depends on several factors. One factor is your choice of shipping service--as you
might expect, the higher the shipping rate, the faster the service. During Checkout, we will show you a list of
available shipping services and their corresponding prices and time-frames.
Another factor is the type of product you have ordered. In some cases, particularly with larger or more expensive
items, it could take somewhat longer for the Harare office to procure the item and/or prepare it for shipping.
Finally, because the items listed on TASHANDA are handmade and are not stored in warehouses in mass
quantities, there are some occasions when orders must be specially made, and this can present delays in the
shipment of an order. In the event that your order must be specially made, you will be contacted by email (within
3 business day after your order has been approved) and informed of the nature of the delay and the expected
time-frame for shipment of your order. Always keep in mind that if you ordered from multiple locations within
Zimbabwe your order may arrive in multiple packages and, most likely, on separate days, although shipping
charges will not be affected. Multiple package shipments are infrequent at TASHANDA.
Shipping Methods
Most items at TASHANDA will ship direct to you from the USA. However, shipping times do vary if products are to
be shipped directly from Zimbabwe. For each shipping service, we will indicate the corresponding price and
estimated time-frame. If we determine that we will not be able to deliver within the promised time-frame, we will
immediately contact you by email (within three business days).
If you order UPS, DHL or FedEx deliveries please note that we are unable to ship to PO Boxes and APO/FPO
addresses. Please be sure to provide a street address for such orders.
Shipping Outside the USA
In keeping with our international focus, TASHANDA is proud to ship to many countries around the world. For a
complete list of countries we currently serve, please view our International Shipping Table. New international
customers join a large base of loyal, satisfied customers across the globe who have already discovered the
wonderful joy that is TASHANDA. The only difference for international customers is that, whenever prompted for
your region of the world, you should change "USA" (the default setting) to the appropriate region, or wherever you
plan on having the order shipped. Non-U.S. customers should look into possible tariffs and/or duties that might
be imposed by local law on incoming international shipments, as TASHANDA cannot be held responsible for
any tax requirements imposed by governments outside the USA.
Additionally, please check with the Customs bureau in the destination country if you are unsure about any
commodity-specific import regulations or restrictions (including quarantine) that might affect your shipment.
TASHANDA cannot be held responsible for any items quarantined, destroyed or otherwise not delivered as a
result of an import restriction in any country other than the USA.
Address Errors
A fee will be applied to all orders where:
- The incorrect address has been provided by the customer and the package is returned as undeliverable
- An invalid address has been provided by the customer, resulting in a surcharge from the carrier. Such an
error may include, but is not limited to, invalid or incomplete address information; incorrect zip code;
incorrect state or country information; typographical errors; or transposed digits
- A move or sudden change of address results in the refusal or non-delivery of an order
- An APO or FPO address has been provided as the shipping address for a UPS, DHL or FedEx delivery
- A PO Box has been provided as the shipping address
The fee will consist of a $5.00 handling charge plus any applicable costs related to re-routing, forwarding, or
redelivering the parcel(s). Please note that there is no charge for address changes that are made before an
order is shipped.
Refused, Unclaimed and Returned Shipments
Please note a $25 fee (per package) will be assessed for all refused shipments. In addition, the customer will
be responsible for any return shipping charges assessed by the courier. For international (non-USA) deliveries,
the customer will be responsible for any duty/VAT/import charges on refused or unclaimed shipments, in
addition to return shipping costs. Shipping costs are not refundable on refused or unclaimed shipments.
Please note a $10 fee (per package) will be assessed for all shipments that are re-routed or returned to
TASHANDA by the carrier. This fee is separate from the re-shipping fee, which is required before packages can
be re-shipped.
Import Taxes and Duties
TASHANDA will cover all duties and import taxes for customers in the United States. Orders being shipped to
addresses outside of the United States may require the recipient to pay duties upon delivery. Customers outside
the United States, and particularly those in Latin America, Africa, Australia and Portugal, are encouraged to
contact their local courier or customs bureau to inquire about possible import taxes. TASHANDA cannot be held
responsible for duties or taxes imposed by the local government on orders delivered to countries other than the
United States. Please note that while we will declare orders containing a gift message as "Gifts" on the
Customs declaration, we cannot honor any requests to alter the declared value for an order.
